South Dakota Public Television recently re-aired "Farm Crisis" a documentary that tells the story of the financial disaster that affected most of South Dakota's farmers in the 1980s. I must have missed the documentary at the time of its original airing, but I really enjoyed this film. While certainly not a "feel good" story, it provides a good look into the causes and effects of the Farm Crisis, and perhaps some guidance on the growth of farm businesses looking into the future.
