While browsing the news today, I read an incredible story regarding some alleged thieves from China who were attempting to steal specific corn hybrid seeds right out of the field! We all know corn hybrids are expensive, both to develop from a research perspective and to purchase as an end user. So I suppose you can understand why these folks would attempt to steal - and then smuggle out of the country - these seeds. Still, it appears the official complaint reads like an international espionage novel. Interesting times we're living in.
