Carnival Cruise Passengers File Class Action Lawsuit

Posted on Mar 12, 2013

Passengers who were onboard the ill-fated Triumph cruise ship have sued Carnival Corppration.

The Triumph set sail for a four-day Caribbean trip on Feb. 7, 2013.  However, three days into the cruise, an engine fire caused the ship’s propulsion system and power to fail - meaning the ship was at a standstill with no electricity, air conditioning, working kitchens or toilets.  The ship was eventually towed back to port on Valentine’s Day.
