The Unified Judicial System, Swier Law Firm, Prof. LLC, and the State Bar of South Dakota are proud to announce that Jake Fischer of Swier Law Firm will be the first attorney honored by the Rural Attorney Recruitment Program on Wednesday, May 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Swier Law Firm's newly remodeled offices on Main Street in Corsica. This is a great honor for Jake and Swier Law Firm, as they are the first attorneys to participate in this program. The Rural Attorney Recruitment Program promotes the practice of law in rural communities to young attorneys and law students.
The South Dakota Legislature approved the Rural Attorney Recruitment Program in 2013 to address the current and projected shortage of lawyers practicing in small communities and rural areas of South Dakota. The Unified Judical System and the State Bar of South Dakota are committed to assuring that all citizens with the State of South Dakota have access to quality legal services.
