Representatives from three South Dakota education organizations have a proposal they say would increase teacher salaries and rival its neighboring states.
Wade Pogany is the executive director of the Associated School Boards of South Dakota. Pogany told the Legislative Planning Committee on Monday that the average salary in South Dakota is about $8,000 less than the average in North Dakota.
