The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced on Tuesday that it has reached a settlement with a Tulsa-based business in what the agency described as first lawsuit ever filed by the agency which alleged genetic discrimination.

Fabricut, Inc, an international wholesale distributor of fabrics, trimmings, decorative drapery hardware and wall coverings for the home-furnishing and hospitality industries, has agreed to pay $50,000 and furnish other relief to resolve the complaint filed Tuesday in Tulsa federal court.
