Low Corn Prices Affect South Dakota Agriculture

An abundant corn harvest is expected to flood the market with billions of bushels this fall — a grain rush that has driven down prices and squeezed the bottom line of many Corn Belt farmers while supplying ethanol and livestock producers with cheap product. Eventually, consumers also are expected to see relief at the grocery store through lower meat prices.
