The holidays are upon us! Office parties and other festive events are common as employers and employees alike celebrate the season. Quite often, alcohol is served at these parties and events. People make mistakes and have “one too many” at a work function. Heavy drinkers tend to drink heavier during this time of the year. Driving conditions are poor. Law enforcement is extra vigilant on the roads. As a DUI attorney, I know that all of these factors make for more DUIs than usual.
If you know you are going to be drinking, make arrangements to get home safe and legal in advance. If it is a last minute thing and you find yourself over the limit, call a friend or a cab to get you where you need to go. You don’t want to have to call a DUI attorney like me from jail or out on bond because you thought you could slip one past law enforcement. Worse, you don’t want to ruin the holidays for anyone else due to reckless and illegal behavior.
