3 Ways To Handle Custody Disputes In South Dakota During The COVID-19 Pandemic

If you believe that sending your child to your ex's home could legitimately pose a risk to your child's health, here are 3 ways to handle this delicate issue.

1. Temporarily Postponing. You may want to consider temporarily postponing in-person visits for a period of time and scheduling make-up visits for a later date.

2. Modified Daily Contact. Scheduling daily phone calls and “virtual visits” using FaceTime or Zoom may be the best way to ensure your child spends time with both parents.

3.  Written Correspondence. Consider keeping in touch by sending letters, cards, and text messages.

There are no easy answers to custody issues while we remain under the COVID-19 pandemic. However, these 3 tips may make a difficult situation better for everyone.
