A "silver tsunami" is coming as South Dakota's nursing home industry is on the verge of financial collapse, industry leaders warned. 

 

Nursing home administrators rang the alarm bells at the Legislature on Tuesday as nursing homes in South Dakota face a $42 million annual shortfall in Medicaid reimbursement funding from the state, which has caused a crush of nursing home closures in recent years.
