New Jersey has now joined many other states that have enacted laws to allow for digital or remote notarization of estate planning documents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Murphy has signed legislation that was sought by the legal bar to allow real estate closing, estate planning, and other legal transactions to move forward while maintaining social distancing through electronic communications.
