Circuit Judge Patricia DeVaney Named to South Dakota Supreme Court

A former lawyer with the South Dakota Attorney General's Office will be the next justice to the South Dakota Supreme Court, Gov. Kristi Noem announced Thursday.

Noem appointed Patricia Jean DeVaney to fill the vacancy created by the sudden death of Justice Steven Zinter last year. DeVaney has been a judge in the Sixth Judicial District since 2012.
