South Dakota Winter Wheat Harvest At Halfway Point

The winter wheat harvest in South Dakota has surpassed the halfway point.

The Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop report that 55 percent of the crop is in the bin. That's ahead of 48 percent at the same time last year but well behind the long-term average of 76 percent.
